Louis Prueter, 66, well-known Town of Meeme farmer, passed away Tuesday at the Sheboygan Memorial hospital He was born July 16, 1883, at Rockville in the Town of Schleswig, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Prueter. He attended school at Rockville and was confirmed at the Bethlehem Reformed church in the Town of Schleswig. On Feb. 16, 1911, he was married to Miss Martha Winkel of the Town of Meeme. Throughout their married life of couple resided on the homestead farm on Highway 149 near the Liberty Pole. Mr. Prueter was treasurer of the Mineral Springs School for 12 years prior to his death.
The survivors include his wife; one son, Edward, at home, and a grandson. Three sisters, Mrs. Theodore Meyer, Mrs. Edward Henschel, and Mrs. Otto Hildebrand, all of Kiel, also survive; with four brothers, Fred of Kiel, Arthur of Wausau, Hugo of Barrington, Ill., and Herman of Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at Schwartzwald in the Town of Herman. The Rev. William Schulz will officiate and burial will be made in the
Rockville cemetery.
