Ah JACK, an eccentric Chinese character, is dead. Jack was drowned in three inches of water on the W. H. CURTIS ranch near Bowman. The well known celestial was a resident of Clipper Gap and became noted by his inebriate habits, appearing on the streets here in a hilarious condition. He was found on the CURTIS ranch, just inside a fence by the roadside, where he had fallen in a small pool of water which just covered his face sufficiently to smother him to death. Coroner SHEPARD held an inquest on the remains.
