ROSCOE C. MAY, 83 of 1705 19th St, died Monday afternoon at his home. Born June 24, 1890, in Wayne County, he was a son of the late John and Frankie Dillon May. A Member of the United Methodist Church at Harveytown, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs Sylvia Bloss May, who died in 1968. Survivors include four sons, Russell and Roscoe May Jr. of Huntington, Shelby May of Twinburg, Ohio, and Homer May of South Point, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Carico of Kansas City, MO., Mrs. Marjorie Rowe of Chillicothe, Ohio, Mrs. Reva Fay Heninger of Chesapeake, Ohio; a Brother, Jack May of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Whitney and Mrs. Fannie Wade of Huntington, 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. A brother, Lawrence May, died Aug. 14. The body is at Reger Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
