He married first on January 27, 1743-4 to Grace Lester, daughter of Sergeant Daniel Lester Junior and Sarah (Brown) Lester. He married second to Judith (Maxson) , widow to Matthew Greene of Hopkinson, RI on Sept. 12, 1771. He married third to Susana, daughter of Eleanor and Mary (Clark) Truman of Southold, NY on April 14, 1791. David had a total of 12 children.

Private in the 4th Regiment, Revolutionary War. Historian John R. Morgan reports that David's son, Ezekiel was the first burial in this cemetery. He also reports that one of David's grandsons, Paul Rogers was the last burial.
