Viola B. Sims, age 90, widow of Marshall Sims, Sr., died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Haggin Memorial Hospital, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Born February 19, 1920, in Mercer County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Bonnie Williams Bailey Devine. She was a self-employed homemaker/farmer and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church, the Constitution Square Dancers and the Lincoln Homesteaders.

Survivors include: a daughter, Mary Hope Hayden; of Harrodsburg; a son, Marshall Sims, Jr., of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, H.T. (Kathy) Logue, Jr., Brian (Stephanie) Sims and Melissa Sims; four great-grandchildren, Bailee Logue, Chase Logue, Karlie Ann Sims and Marshall Alexander Sims; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Malcolm Sims.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Wayne Spivey and Darrell Agee. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, in Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: H.T. Logue, Jr., Brian Sims, Melissa Sims, Chase Logue, Johnny Bailey, Tommy Hayden and Bailee Logue. Honorary bearers are all nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
