Norman C. Etheridge, Jr., 82 of the 3800 block of Weatherbury Place, passed away on May 3, 2005 in Richmond, VA. Mr. Etheridge was retired from Virginia Power as supervisor of operations and a veteran of WWII with the Merchant Marines. Born in South Norfolk, he was the son of the late Norman Sr. and Ruth Etheridge. He is survived by a daughter, Pamela E. Kellum and her husband Jeff of Titusville, FL; two sons, Norman C. Etheridge III and wife Michelle of Milford, DE, and Cary G. Etheridge and wife Brenda of Moseley, VA; a sister, Leah Ray Weatherby and her husband Ed of Chesapeake; nine grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Norman was predeceased by a brother, Carlton Gatewood Etheridge. A memorial graveside will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel will be handling arrangements. It is requested that those who knew and loved him memorialize him in their own way and that expressions of sympathy take the form of random acts of kindness.
