Frances Lucinda Downs, 92, of Gordonsville, died on Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Hospice House in Charlottesville.
She was born on April 24, 1917, in Vienna, a daughter of the late David Wilson Seese and Mary Susan Forester Seese. She was the wife of the late James Francis Downs and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lynette Faye Meeks.
Mrs. Downs is survived by three daughters, Shirley Stowe and husband, Jim, of Charleston, South Carolina, Sylvia Cleeland and her husband, David, of Miami, Florida, Linda Meeks and her husband, Dickie, of Gordonsville; one son, Raymond Downs and his wife, Kim, of Freeport, Florida; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
