Mrs. Scully, 83, City Resident, Dies Today
Mrs. Josephine Scully, 83, a longtime Crookston resident died this morning at St. Vincent Rest Home, where she had resided for the past several years.
Former Josephine Lance was born Jan. 16, 1885 at Dorothy. She was married to Con Scully, who operated a furniture store for many years. Mr. Scully died in 1947.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Jeanne) Norman of Thief River Falls and Mrs. Joseph (Lorraine) Horski of Grand Forks; two sons, Milton of Brainerd adn Patrick of Aurora, Colorado; a brother Fred Lance of Gentilly; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Mercil of Baton Rouge, LA.; and Mrs. Clara Vaudrin of Red Lake Falls; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where funeral services are tentatively set for Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. John R. McAleer officiating.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening at Stenshoel's with recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Josephine Scully, will be Michael and William Norman, James Horski, Patrick Scully and William Schroeder.
