S. Fortier, 81, of Gentilly, Dies this morning

Stanislaus Fortier, 81, a longtime resident of the Gentilly and Crookston area died this morning at a local hospital.

Mr. Fortier was born July 16, 1877 in Canada. He came to Gentilly at the age of one year and had lived there until 10 years ago when he moved to Crookston. He was engaged in farming in the Gentilly area. The last four years he has made his home at the St. Vincent Rest Home. He was married to Albina Amiot in Gentilly. She preceded him in death in 1947.

Survivors include three sons, Adrian and Maurice of Crookston, and Paul of Mason City, Iowa, three daughters, Mrs. Cecilia Cousineau of Chicago, Mrs. Bernard (Bernadette) Blokzyl of Crookston and Loretta Christianson of Idaho, 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from St. Anne's Catholic Church with Msgr. M. Dufault officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at Norman's Funeral Home.
