William Duval 88, resident of Crookston area for nearly three quarters of a century, died last night after a several weeks illness. He resided at 225 Lincoln Avenue.

Mr. Duval and his wife the former Melvina Lariviere, celebrated their sixty sixth wedding anniversary last December 26. They were married in Crookston by the Rev Fr. Fyole.

He was born August 28, 1864 at Faribault and came to this community in 1880. He farmed in Russia Township until 1907 when he moved into Crookston, serving on the city street department until his retirement.

Survivors besides his widow are all 14 children born to the couple. They are Mrs. Clara McFarlane, Lillian and emery of Crookston, Adolph, Mrs. Hemine Barkow and Mrs. Leonard Mousseau of Hibbing, Albert, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Louise Jolicoeur and Mrs. Victor Kern, Chicago, Wilfred and Aaron, Minneapolis, Frank and Clifford at Billings, Montana, and Mrs. Boyd Armour of Phoenix, Arizona. There are also 18 grandchildren.
