Doris Desrosier, 82, Crookston, died Friday, May 9, in Riverview Hospital, Crookston.
Doris Amanda Perreault was born Nov. 11, 1914, the daughter of John Albert and Elodia (Laundry) Perreault, in Terrebonne, Minn., where she attended rural school. She married Alfred Desrosier Oct. 9, 1934, in Terrebonne. They lived and farmed near Beltrami, Minn. In 1960, they moved to Crookston, where she worked at St. Vincent Nursing Home. They also were foster parents for 18 years to 120 children and boarded boys from Mexico, who were students at Mount St. Benedict High School. Alfred Desrosier died March 4, 1982.
She is survived by sons, Donald (Rita) and Linus (Cathy), both of Crookston, and Stanley, Roosevelt, Minn.; daughters, Gloria (Harold) Elmer, Chippewa Falls, Wis., Elaine (Dale) Sylvester, Bonnie (Jim) Sullivan, Lucia (Dennis) Swenson and Linda (Ronald) Lanctot, all of Crookston, Rose (Ken) Rustad, Fargo, Carol (Roy) Schatschneider, West Fargo, Charlotte (Richard) Mohs, Chanhassen, Minn., and Anna (Bryan) Vidden, Grand Forks; 44 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a foster child, Christy Richie, in Maryland; a brother, Noel ``Robert,'' Albert Lea, Minn.; and sisters, Rose Beaudoin, Oklee, Minn., Mae Lallier, Red Lake Falls, Minn., Cecelia Gingras, Lafayetteville, N.C., Florence Moen, Baudette, Minn., and Sr. Sylvia ``Gabe'' Perreault, Stillwater, Minn.
She was preceded in death by two infant children; brothers, George, Omer and Wallace; and sisters, Stella Desrosier and Mona Klooz.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Crookston.
Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and one hour before services, all in the church.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Crookston (Stenshoel-Houske, Crookston).
