Mrs. Joe Capistran, 90, who had been a resident of Crookston for more than 60 years, died this morning at the local hospital. Mrs. Capistran was born June 24, 1878 in Corcoran, Minn., and came to Crookston as a young woman.
Survivors include three sons, Emery, Clarence, and Omer, of Crookston, four daughters, Mamie Wilson, Evelyn Altepeter of Crookston, (Victoria Goulet of Brainerd, Fabiola Burke of Portland Ore, three stepchildren, Leo and Olive Capistran of Erskine and Eva Capistran of California, three sisters, Mrs. Adolph Lalonde, Mrs. Art Girard of Crookston, Mrs. Agnes LaBonte of Fairview Mont, and 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
