On May 17, 1866 Marilla "Rilla" was born to George VanValkenburg and Elsie Amanda Rathburn. In the Autumn on October 22, 1882 Marilla "Rilla" VanValkenburg and Arthur Benjamin "Ben" were married. They resided in Wheatfield Township, Michigan and reared a family of eight children. After an illness of a few days, Marilla "Rilla" VanValkenburg died in Wheatfield Township, Ingham County, Michigan on December 29, 1935.
