Tony Wallace, 70, Augusta, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2008.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Tony was born on March 27, 1938, in Augusta, to the late Loren Winters and Jean Alpha (Wadsworth) Wallace. She retired as an executive secretary from Beech Aircraft after 33 years. She was a member and deaconess of the First Baptist Church and a Soroptimist Club member in Augusta. She also volunteered at the Augusta Community Caring Center.
Her survivors: aunt, Arlene Leedom of Augusta; cousins, Linda (Louie) Williams of Augusta, Gary "Buck" Leedom of Wichita, and Jerry (Sue) Clark Hess of Rogers, Ark.; brother-in-law, Chuck Simmons of Omaha; nephews, Britt Simmons of Freemont, Neb., Jared Simmons, Cade Simmons, both of Omaha; two great-nieces.
Preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Simmons.
