Born in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Enoch and Mary (Adkins) McKenzie. His wife, Cecelia (Whitacre) McKenzie, preceded him in death. Mr. McKenzie was a retired B&O Railroad brakeman, a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Men of LaVale, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Besides his sister, he is survived by a son, William P. McKenzie, Potomac Park; two daughters, Mrs. Regina Young and Mrs. Adeline Barham, city; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The body is at the Stein Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p. m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 9 a. m. at St Patrick's Church and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home tomorrow at 8:45 p. m.
