Miss Emma Mattes, 79, died at Park Lawn Home in Sheboygan Friday evening. She had been a patient there for several weeks.
Miss Mattes was born in the town of Schleswig, May 19, 1876, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mattes. Miss Mattes and her brother, Philip, who survives, operated a farm in Schleswig until June, 1944, when they moved to Kiel.
Survivors also include four nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters in addition to her parents.
Funeral services were held at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church, with burial in Rockville cemetery
