Kiel, Wis—(Special)—Adam Kazmeier, 71, who has been ill during the past two months, died at his home here, 1141 N. Sixth street, New Year's Day morning. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the home and the Rev. E. L. Worthman, pastor of St. Peters Reformed church here, will have charge of the rites. Burial will be made in the Rockville cemetery.
Mr. Kazmeier was born August 2, 1864, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Kazmeier, on a farm in the town of Schleswig, 1 ½ miles southeast of Kiel, where he spent his boyhood. On September 11, 1889, he married Miss Clara Hedler, also of the town of Schleswig, and the couple lived on the Kazmeier farm homestead until 1914, when they built their home in Kiel, where they have lived ever since.
Surviving Mr. Kazmeier are his widow; two sons, Oscar of Kiel, and Frederick of Bryant, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Cora Conrad of Elkhart Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Graf of Elkhart Lake, and Mrs. Jacob Arnold of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; and six grandchildren. One son died in infancy, and two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
