EVERETT G. SCHMIDT

Everett G. Schmidt, formerly of 303 Polk St., North Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.

He was born Aug. 26, 1912, in Sun Prairie, a son of Alex and Martha Schmidt. In May 1939, he married Claudine Berndt at Oakfield.

Mr. Schmidt was a member of Cathedral of St. Paul. For over 50 years, he owned and operated Schmidt Hardware, Oakfield, having purchased the business from his father. He retired in 1976.

Mr. Schmidt was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include one son, David (Sandi) Schmidt of North Fond du Lac; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, in 1975; one brother, Bernard; and twin brother at birth.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 a.m. Monday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Very Rev. James P. Cavanagh will officiate. Burial will be at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.

Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.
