Barbara Jean Litteral Laney, 45, of West Van Lear, died Saturday,June 11, 2005 in Lexington. Born Aug. 15, 1959, in Franklin County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late James Litteral and Flora Belle Stapleton Rowland. She was a cook with Carl D. Perkins Rehab Center and member of Light of Christ Church.Survivors include her husband, Hobert Laney of West Van Lear; twosons, Todd Davis of Paintsville, and Bobby Laney of West Van Lear;two step-sons, Jason Laney of Whitehouse, and Steve Laney of Somerset; three brothers, Tommy Litteral of Paintsville, and James Litteral and Harold Litteral, both of Flat Gap; two sisters,Marica Litteral of Flat Gap, and Joyce Meek of Michigan; a step-sister, Sara Stapleton of Sitka; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 14, at Preston Funeral Chapel,Paintsville, with Terry Lykins officiating.
Burial was in Estep Cemetery, Flat Gap, under direction of Preston Funeral Home
