Loving mother, grandmother
WEST JERSEY - Arleen Julia (Botsch) Beamer, 91, of West Jersey passed away at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Kewanee Hospital.
Arleen was born March 21, 1918, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of John and Hilda Holtz Botsch. She married G. Philip Beamer of West Jersey on June 8, 1937. He preceded her in death in December of 1994.
Also preceding Arleen in death were her parents, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Alice Botsch and Russell and Regina Botsch.
Surviving are one sister, Maryilyn Hansen of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sons, John (and Pat) Beamer of Toulon and Bob (and Judy) Beamer of West Jersey; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (and Marilyn) Beamer, James (and Peerapan) Beamer and Kathy Steward, all of Toulon, and Carol (and Alex) Ingels of Galva; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arleen and her husband, Philip, lived in Milwaukee, Wis., and moved to West Jersey in 1947. She was a part-time telephone operator in West Jersey and later worked as a cook in the West Jersey and Toulon school system for many years.
She also was a member of the West Jersey United Methodist Church and the West Jersey Rebekah Lodge.
Arleen was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of us.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at DeBolt-Kidd Funeral Home in Toulon. The Rev. Paul Wier will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in West Jersey Cemetery.
