She was born in Wayne County, GA on 3 July, 1903 to Farley Western Strickland and Alice Lucretia Williams Strickland(married 11 May, 1900)and died 2 April, 1973 in Waycross, Ware County, GA, and was buried there in Oakland Cemetery.
Grandmother had 3 siblings: James Hazen Strickland 1906-1948 (car accident), Harold 1902-1914 (heart problem) and Annie Ofelia (born & died 1910 heart problem)
Her husband was Simon Prescott Howard. (Who thought his middle name was Preston until Mother needed copies of birth certificates and discovered otherwise.) They married on March 24, probably in 1924. Waycross city directory of 1925 lists Myra and Simon at 616 Folks Street.
