Mrs. Charlotte Cissel Dies at Her Home
Mrs. Charlotte E. Cissel, 67, retired Internal Revenue Bureau employe, died yesterday at her home, Randolph Terrace Apartments, after a three-month illness.
A native of New York City, she was brought to Washington when 2 years old. She was the widow of Ernest E Cissel, local architect. Mrs. Cissel joined the Government service in 1906, when she went to work in the General Land Office. Two years later she was transferred to the Internal Revenue Bureau and was retired May 1 this year.
She worked in the legal division, the examining section and was head of personnel some years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Marie Weaver, of this city; a son, Edward E. Cissel, Mount Rainier, Md., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hines funeral home and burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
