Wilkinsburg Treasurer Dies
Services for Frederick D. Graf, treasurer of Wilkinsburg Borough since 1942, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Penn and Highland avenues, East Liberty.
Mr. Graf, 78, of 736 North Ave., Wilkinsburg, died yesterday in Columbia Hospital.
He was owner and operator of the F.D. Graf Realty Co. in Wilkinsburg and the first president of the East Suburban Multilist, a real estate organization.
He was a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College and received his master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a member of the Phil Alpha Theta Honorary Historical Society.
Mr. Graf was on the board of directors of both the Wilkinsburg Symphony and the Wilkinsburg Savings, Building and Loan Association: a former elder, deacon and assistant treasurer of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church: a member of Wilkinsburg Masonic Lodge 633: a member of the Wilkinsburg City Council in 1940-41 and a member of the Edgewood Country Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Myra Ann Buchanan: a brother, A. Kimball, and two grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the T.D. Turner Funeral Home, 729 Wallace Ave., Wilkinsburg.
Burial will be in Homewood Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations to Holmes House, East Liberty Presbyterian Church or Washington and Jefferson College.
