Emily Gordon, age 86, of Hiram, formerly of Mableton, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved to fish, dance, travel and shop. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mableton. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Gordon, Sr. and son, Richard Lee Gordon, Jr., survivors include daughters, Dorothy Gordon and Carolyn Gordon both of Hiram; son, Olin Gordon and wife Faye of Winston; grandchildren, Amanda Gordon, Lee Gordon, Felicia and husband, Keith Hayes, Leland Burdette and wife, Heidi; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at Gene Davis-White Columns Chapel in Mableton. Burial will follow in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:30 pm today at the funeral home. Condolences made at: www.genedavisfuneralhome.com
