Nancy C. Moffett, 50, of Memphis, MO, died May 15, 2004, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO.
She was born July 12, 1953, to John Carol and Lucretia Ellen Hustead Matlock at Rock Island, IL.
She was a graduate of Scotland County R-I High School, Class of 1971. She married Steve Wayne Moffett on July 6, 1973. Nancy enjoyed accounting and was employed by the Community Bank of Memphis, Memphis, MO, prior to her illness. She was a mother and homemaker and also a Mary Kay Representative. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; a daughter, Emily and her husband, Bill Lymer of Kirksville, MO; and two sons, Kevin Moffett and Timothy Moffett of Memphis, MO; her father, John Matlock of Memphis, MO; a brother, Tom Matlock and his wife, Karla of Memphis, MO; and a sister, Marjorie Savage and husband, Tim of Merriam, KS.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her mother; and a son, Joseph.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Memphis, MO, with the Pastor Dan Hite officiating. Music will be provided by Joan Hinds and Schelle Cooley. Burial will follow in the Memphis Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Stanley Prather, David Perkins, Mark Westhoff, Mark Drummond, Donnie Middleton, and Lloyd Erickson. Honorary bearers will be Dustin Cook, Davin Newman, Glen Miller and Kris Speer. Memorials may be made to her Children's Education Fund and may be left at or mailed to the Memphis Funeral Home, 378 South Market Street, Memphis, MO 63555-1461. Memphis Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
