Lila Mae Frazier Sandridge, 89, of Charlottesville, surrounded by her family and loved ones, went home to be with her Lord and loving husband, on Saturday, March 6, 2010.

She was born on August 21, 1920, in Greene County, the daughter of the late Emanuel Frazier and Lucy Ann Conley Frazier. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Thomas Sandridge; three sisters, Lizzie Sprouse, Reather Davis, and Rachel Wells; and two brothers, Gilbert Frazier and Raymond Frazier.

Lila was a founding member of Covenant Church of God where she taught Sunday school, was President of the Ladies Auxiliary, and a partner in the YPE Youth Program. She was a former employee of Hank Originals and was known for her expertise in sewing abilities. She was well known throughout the community for her mild, loving, and humble personality.

Surviving her are her daughter, Helen Mundie of Charlottesville; two grandsons, Ira Mundie and Alton Mundie; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the Southside Church of God with Pastor Larry Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
