Mrs. T. E. Fleming

Mrs. Thomas E. Fleming, who had been a great sufferer for several months, passed away Thursday morning, March 4, at 7 a.m. at her home near Gloucester C. H. Funeral services were held at the house at 11:30 o'clock Friday and the burial was at Providence church. Rev. H. L. Corr, Mrs. Fleming's pastor, conducted the funeral.

The deceased was a native of this county. Her husband, Mr. T. E. Fleming, died about six years ago. She is survived by the following children: Mr. Edward Fleming, of Norfolk; Mrs. Christian Rilee, of Pinero; Mrs. Wallace Williams, of Hayes Store; the Misses Hester, Lulie and Emily, and Alvin and Bernard Fleming, at home.

Mrs. Fleming was a woman of fine Christian character, and universally respected and admired in this community for her noble traits. The large attendance at her funeral attested the esteem in which she was held, the knowledge of which cannot be otherwise than a solace to the bereaved sons and daughters in their great loss.
