Nancy L. Wondoloski

Nancy L. Wondoloski, 62, of 203 Freewill Road, formerly of Shamokin, died at 12:14 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born Nov. 12, 1946, in Shamokin, a daughter of Beatrice (Rubendall) Hoffa of Coal Township and the late Thomas Hoffa. Nancy was married on Sept. 14, 1974, in the office of Judge Moore to Jerome J. "Hermy" Wondoloski, who preceded her in death on July 10, 2008.

She attended Shamokin schools.

Nancy and her husband were the former owners and operators of the Sher-Miss Cafe on Shamokin Street, Shamokin.

She was a member of the Pastime Club, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and St. Francis Home Association, all in Shamokin, the Brady and Fairview fire companies and the Polish Cadets, all in Coal Township, and the West End Fire Company, Kulpmont.

Nancy enjoyed reading books and being "Mam Mam" to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing pool and shooting darts at and for the cafe.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, three daughters and their families, Jim and Karen Campbell and children, Thomas and Alex, of Coal Township; Sherry Wondoloski and children, Brandon, Ryan and Robert Fisher and Ellen Spotts, of Shamokin; Missy and Brad Neiswender and children, Kaitlyn, Connor, Kyra and Cole, of Gilbertsville; and Nancy and Chris Derck and children, Nate Derck, of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Ethan Fanella of Mount Carmel; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Linda Hoffa of Hampstead, Md.; two sisters, Janet Kelly and Judy Hoffa, both of Shamokin; a special nephew and niece, Brian Snyder and Jodi Bias, both of Coal Township; aunt and uncle, Bob and Dolores Rubendall of Schwanksville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her father and Hermy, her husband of 33 years, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Chas and Gary Hoffa.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the James Kelley Funeral Home, Coal Township, followed by the funeral at 1 with the Rev. Robert Smith, pastor of Seventh Street Primitive Methodist Church, Shamokin, officiating.

Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
