Some family records show Hannibal being born in 1810, so Bet. 1808-1810 is more correct.

Hannibal might be buried by one of these illegible markers in the distance at Spivey Cemetery, though there is no proof at this time. Probably wife Rebecca is buried in Lee County VA, but we are not sure. She probably died between 1850-1870, as she disappeared from the census during that time they were living in Lee County VA. He was a widower in the 1880 census, so he probably never remarried. Hannibal's last known residence was living with his daughter and son-in-law Amos & Margaret Hammons in Rye Cove, (Taylor District on the 1880 Census). He never appeared in another census.

Hannibal's parents were John J. and Sarah Rhoton Bolton Tyler of Rye Cove, Scott County, Virginia. The Spivey cemetery is on private property in Rye Cove where his father John is buried, so reminder to get permission. It was probably very close to the old Tyler property. Work on more discovery is ongoing.
