DECATUR - Alma Faye Christianson, 69, of Decatur passed away Saturday (Jan. 19, 2002) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services in Glad Tidings Assembly of God with the Revs. Lori O'Dea and Lawrence Flaugher officiating. Burial in North Fork Cemetery.

Alma was born May 30, 1932, in Jonesboro, Ark., the daughter of Laurence C. and Lorine Rush Potter. She was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association and Honda Riders Club, which helps support pediatric brain tumor research. She was very active in the Macon County Relay for Life for the past three years. She married Carl D. Christianson Sr. Feb. 3, 1960, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Carl D. Christianson Jr. of Durham, N.C.; David L. Christianson of Decatur; daughters, Alberta Flaugher and husband Danny of Lakewood, Wash.; Christina Dickison and husband Lonzo of Mount Zion; mother, Lorine Fuson-May of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Melissa A. and Jessica J. Flaugher, both of Lakewood; Kimberly Christianson of Durham; Matthew D. and Lauren A. Christianson, both of Decatur; Brittany M. Dickison of Mount Zion; sisters, Edna Plunkett and husband Bill of Tucson; Linda Fuson of San Diego, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her father.
