Services for Jerry Young, 26, prominent Wllbarger County rancher and businessman, were conducted in the First Methodist Church of Vernon.

He went to Vernon in 1958 as owner of the Lions Bowl. He constructed the Lions Bowl bowling lanes and sold the business before his death. He had moved to the ranch between Chillicothe and Vernon where hew was making improvements on the property at the time of the accident.

Young moved with his parents to their ranch, seven miles north of Graham in his early youth. He graduated from Graham HIgh school and attended Texas Tech and North Texas State University following his discharge from the US Army.

He was stationed for three years in Germany serving with the US Army.

He was married to the former Miss Patty McGinnis in Vernon November 27, 1959.

Rev. Doyle Ragle, pastor of the Vernon First Methodist Church; Rev. Lawrence Cox, pastor of the Margaret Baptist Church; and Rev. Bruce Weaver, pastor of the Graham First Methodist Church, officiated.

Survivors include the widow - Mrs. Patty Young; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Young; two brothers, Clint Young and Mike Young; two sisers, Mrs. Sherrill Smith and Mrs. Alfred Newman.
