Mrs. James Oscar (Mary) Farster, 97, of Rockville, Ford City RD 1, died at 8:50 a.m. today at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 6, 1875, in Plumcreek Township, she was the daughter of William and Sarah (Boarts) Graham. Mrs. Farster was a member of the Elderton United Presbyterian Church, Elderton. Her husband died in 1961. She is survived by two sons, Miles E. of Hampton, Va. And James E. of Lancaster; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Vera) Boarts of Kittanning Highlands, Mrs. D. M. (Freda) Schaeffer of Kittanning RD 1, and Mrs. Harold (Mary) Elder of Ford City RD 1; a sister, Mrs. Ada Brindle of Pitcairn; 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. FARSTER – Friends of Mrs. James Oscar (Mary) Farster who died April 2, 1973, are being received a the Amberson C. Bauer Funeral Home, Kittanning, from 7 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert H. Thurau, PhD., Pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning, officiating. Burial will be in Whitesburg Cemetery. Arrangements by Bauer.
