Memorial services for A.E. Duncan, 71, of Salina will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday March 11 at Word Fellowship Church in Chouteau. Pastor David Baker will officiate with services under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor. Mr. Duncan passed away on Friday in Salina.
A.E. was born on September 1, 1938 in Strang to Alva Elbert and Kathryn (Stokes) Duncan. He grew up and attended school in Spavinaw and Strang, graduating from Strang High School in 1956. A.E. joined the U.S. Army in 1957 and served until 1960. During his military service he was stationed in Japan and worked as a cryptographer. He met Judy Salyer in 1961 at Greebrier and it was love at first sight. They were married on February 14, 1962 at Greenbrier and made their home in Salina. He was a Oklahoma State Trooper for a brief period then started working for National Gypsum in Pryor, retiring in 2002 after 32 years. He and Judy are members of Word Fellowship Church in Chouteau. He was a great husband and father and he supported his kids in everything they did. He was an avid gardener who always had a huge garden of fresh vegetables every year and he also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include: Wife- Judy of the home 3 Sons- Anthony Duncan and wife Helga of Locust Grove Roger Duncan of Salina Steven Duncan and wife Robbi Jo of Pryor 1 Daughter- Heather Rodriguez and husband Greg of Colorado Springs, CO

13 Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren 3 Sisters

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Kimberly Diane; and two brothers.
