Jack Howard Case, 72, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life Sunday evening, Mar. 7, 2010 in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 12, 1938 in Tazewell, VA, the son of Walter H. and Winnie M. (Sawyer) Case. On Feb. 26, 1954 he married his wife of 56 years, Shelby Barnes, who survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Winnie M. Case, Tazewell, VA, his daughter, Kelly (Kit) Bennett, Frankfort, his son, Kevin (Wendy) Case, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Matthew (Holly) Bennett, Sarah (Richard) Garrison, Shana Bennett, Keyla (Jody) Sowers and Kody Case, great-grandchildren, Layne and Logan Bennett, Courtney and Hope Garrison, Morgan Bennett and Cade Sowers and his sister, Betty Jo (Oliver) Wyatt, Tazewell, VA. His father and his sister, Ruth Case Horn preceded him in death.
Mr. Case was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was an employee for Roadway Express, retiring in 1988. An active member of Scioto Lodge # 6, F & AM for 38 years, he was a Past Master and currently was serving as Education Officer. He was a Past High Priest of Chillicothe Chapter #4, RAM and was a Past District Deputy Grand High Priest, a Past Illustrious Master of Chillicothe Council # 4, RSM, Past Eminent Commander, Chillicothe Commandry # 8, KT, Past Sovereign Master, Albert Sark Council #186, AMD, Past Patron, Chillicothe Chapter # 419, OES, a member of Ohio Priory #18, KYCH and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus.
Services were entrusted to Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
