Jessie Lee Pemberton married Miss Laura Helms on 12 March 1904 at Bryson, Texas. The couple moved to Graham in 1956 from Jack County, Texas.

Services for Jessie Lee Pemberton, 79, were held at First Baptist Church officiated by the pastor, Rev. Hubert Foust. Mr. Pemberton was a member of the Baptist Church.

Mr. Pemberton was a pioneer citizen of Young County and had lived in the Finis community for many years. He moved his family to Young County in 1904. He was a retired farmer.

Survived by his wife; sons - Arthur Pemberton, Ray Pemberton, Alfred Pemberton, Leonard Pemberton; daughters -Mrs. Bessie Thomas, Mrs. Vera Ashby; half-brothers - John Pemberton, Ernest Pemberton and Robert Pemberton; half-sister - Mrs. Minnie Cochran; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
