Funeral Notice
Services for Dickerson Flyer Killed in Florida Crash to be Held at Poolesville
William A. Daniel, Jr., Dickerson, lost his life while on a routine flight in Florida on August 20, when his plane, along with three others, ran into a storm. The three other pilots returned to their base. Lieut. Daniel's body, still in his plane, was found six days later.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Poolesville, for Lieut. The body, accompanied by a military escort, will arrive this morning and will remain at the funeral home in Barnesville until time of the services this afternoon.
Lieut. Daniel is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Daniel, Sr.; his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Anton Daniel; one brother, Mansfield Daniel, U.S. Army; and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Daniel, at home.
Interment will be made in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
Lieut. Daniel was a Rockville attorney prior to his induction.
Funeral services will be in charge of William B. Hilton.
