Funeral services were conducted from the Smyrna Baptist Church for Oscar E. Endsley, 89, of Atlanta.
The Rev. Roscoe Baucum officiated at the services assisted by the Rev. Edgar Hamilton. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were J. H. Trimble, B. L. Trimble, Mike Jacovelli, Larry Thompson, Joe Thompson, and Jimmy Brown.
Mr. Endsley was a retired farmer and for many years active in Church, civic, and business affairs of the area.
Survivors include his widow; four daughters, Mrs. C. A. Addie of Oil City, Mrs. Gene Thompson of Atlanta, Mrs. J. B. Jacovelli of Oglala, S. D. and Mrs. O. D. Brown of Fon-du-lac, Wisconsin; two sons, Cecil and Joe both of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Wysinger of Rodessa, LA; a brother, N. B. Endsley of Bloomburg; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
