DEATH OF MRS FRANK McGAUGHEY

Mrs. Frank McGaughey, 88, passed away Wednesday at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs William Piercy, 805 Clinton, where she resided the last 7 1/2 years.
The family home was at 718 Howard Street.
Born February 3, 1876 in Rogers, AR., Mrs. McGaughey was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Grimes. She and Mr. McGaughey were married in March, 1900 in Rogers and came to Carthage 55 years ago. Mr. McGaughey was a railway mail clerk. He died Oct 19, 1929 in Carthage.
Mrs. McGaughey was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are four sons; Victor McGaughey of Long Beach, CA., Otis McGaughey of Oklahoma City, OK., Eugene McGaughey of 1108 South Main, Max McGaughey of Webb City. Two daughters; Mrs. Richard Throckmorton of North Hollywood, CA., and Mrs. Richard Lyon of St. Louis. 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Ulmer chapel and burial was in the family lot in Park Cemetery.

Mrs. McGaughey Rites
Services for Mrs. Frank McGaughey, who died Wednesday, May 20, were conducted Saturday morning at the Ulmer Funeral home. The Rev. Vincent C. Root, rector of Grace Episcopal Church officiated. Mrs. Robert Platt sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and Mrs. Jesse Alexander was the organist.
Pallbearers were Turner Cameron, Harry Roberts, Basil Kirby, Earl Walker, Lloyd Grigsby, and H. A. Kelso, the latter of Nevada. Burial was in the family lot in Park Cemetery.
