DIED: Levi Harrod died at his residence in this city Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 5:15 p.m., aged 79 years, 9 months and 21 days. For several years past he has been in poor health and during the past year he grew worse but was not confined to his bed until about two weeks before his death. His disease was bronchial consumption. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania Jan. 1, 1805. His parents moved to Ohio while he was yet a child and he lived in Knox county, that State until the fall of 1863 when he moved to this county and settled in Fox township where he lived until about three years ago when he moved to this city. His wife died two years ago next March and he leaves nine children, six of whom live in this county, one in Ohio, and two in Kansas. All were present at the funeral which was held last Friday at 2 p.m., Elder Hayden, of Sac City, officiating. Deceased was highly respected by all who knew him as a man of integrity and sterling worth. He was a consistent member of the Christian church and passed away peacefully in the full enjoyment of all his mental faculties until the last.
