Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Katherine Garrett, 63, of 1111 Minnesota, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carlton Thomson, pastor, officiating. The casket will not be open at the church.
Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Mortuary.
Mrs. Garrett died at her home early Tuesday. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of the Noel Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband, Charles of the home; one son, Joe Jack Aldridge of Arlington; one daughter, Mrs. Jerrie Lou Douthit of Houston; four brothers, Jess Gregory of Plano, W.M. Gregory of Farmersville, Cecil and W.E. Gregory, both of Parker; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Chaddick and Mrs. Mattie Turner, both of Plano; one grandson and one granddaughter.
Casketbearers will be J.H. Goins, Burl Lloyd, Roy Haley, Al Summers, Bob Horton, Bud Mancill.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
