Charlotte Monnett Farquar Williams was the youngest daughter of Wallace Lafayette Monnett and Mary Ann Zouck. Born and educated in Bucyrus, Ohio, she attended college at Ohio Wesleyan College, and lived in the dorm that name for her father's cousin, Mary Monnett. Her first marriage was to Allen S. Farquhar, who was in the U.S. Navy. As his assignment changes, Charlotte faced the challenges of being a naval spouse with happiness, his success brought her great joy, and he retired from the USN with the rank of Rear Admiral. Following his death, and after a period of widowhood, she married Edward Barnes Williams, a retired journalist and one-time financial and national reporter for the New York Times. The couple retired to Florida. After being widowed a second time, now Mrs. Williams decided to maintain her home in Florida where she died in 2000 and was survived by her immediate family.
