DANIELSON- Myles P. Yancey Sr., 93, of Cranberry Bog Road, died Sunday at home. He was born in New York City October 12, 1912. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Myles P. Yancey. He was married to the late Mildred D. (Haywood) Yancey. Mr. Yancey served in the Merchant Marines, was a WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veteran and was a merchant seaman.
He is survived by three sons, Myles P. Yancey Jr. of Brooklyn, Stephen Yancey of Hong Kong, China, Wayne Yancey of Worcester, MA and one daughter, Gail Yancey of NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John Yancey and a sister, Lulu Yancey.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson is in charge of arrangements
