She was the daughter of John Condit-Smith and Mary Louise Day. She was born in February 1873 according to the 1900 census. She married first to Cyrus Field Judson Sr. on June 8, 1893, by whom she had 3 children.
That marriage ended in divorce and she married second to Robert Cambridge Livingston on November 9, 1906. Robert died in 1933 and she married third to Samuel Hyatt Vallance.

Mrs. Samuel H. Vallance: Mrs. Alice Condit-Smith Vallance, wife of Samuel Hyatt Vallance, died yesterday at her home, 2 East Sixtieth Street. Mrs. Vallance was a daughter of the late General John Condit-Smith and Mrs. Louise Day Smith. Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Russell Jones and Mrs. Frank Ross McCoy, and a son by a previous marriage, Cyrus F. Judson Jr.
