Graveside services for Donna L. Herring Snow, 81, of Lubbock, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Resthaven Memorial Park. She passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010.

Donna was born on Oct. 17, 1928 in Seagraves, Texas. She graduated from High School in Amarillo, in 1946. She graduated from Parkland School of Nursing in 1949, and received her B.S.N. from West Texas State University in 1974. She worked at Methodist Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1991.

Donna was active with Meals on Wheels, Tax Counseling for the Elderly, South Plains Genealogical Society, AARP and Friends of the Library. In 2009, she was awarded the "Lifetime Service Award' by the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program for her 4,247 hours of volunteer work.

Survivors include four daughters, Jennifer Lee Boles and husband Chris of Bedford, Mass., Tracey Ann Murphy of Wolfforth and former son-in-law, Hank Murphy, Cynthia Lynn Wood and husband David of El Dorado, Ark. and Melinda Gail McCarthy and Lex Keim of Norman, Okla.; a brother, Joel Herring of Lubbock; two granddaughters, Megan Collins Murphy and Donna Isobel Chlercie Boles; three grandsons, Quentin Inks Franklin, Michael Ellis Franklin and Christopher Austin McCarthy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Friends of the Library, 1306 9th St., Lubbock, TX 79401.
