Dr. Boger (as she was known professionally) is the daughter of notable Dr. Cyrus Boger. She received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1915.
She developed a Medical Practice 145 Middle Street in Portsmouth NH. She was the first woman doctor in Portsmouth and later was elected the first woman President of the New Hampshire Medical Society. Portsmouth became her home for a lifetime of medical service. She and her family resided on New Castle Island - which is attached to Portsmouth. She had two children, a son (also Portsmouth Doctor - Dr. Gerald Boger Shattuck, and a daughter,(living).
Her Husband was Navy Capt. Gerald Algernon Shattuck, who was serving on the USS Whitney at Pearl Harbor when our country was attacked.
She was there, as well - and was one of the first doctors to begin treating the wounded at Tripler General Hospital (even as one of it wings was bombed).
She and Gerald were married May 24 1921 Wakefield
