"Russell Dean North, 47, RR 1, Attica, Fountain County Farmer passed away at 8:30 p.m. October 7 at Home Hospital, Lafayette, having been ill since December 1980. He was born April 26, 1934 at Lafayette to Lowell Dean and Nellie M. Taylor North.

A 1952 Attica High School graduate, Mr. North had served as a president of the holding corporation that finance the building of the Attica Junior-Senior High School, and served eight years on the Davis Township Trustee Advisory Board.

He was a member of the Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church.

He married the former Patsy Jean Biggs on March 25, 1955 at Attica. She survives.

Additional survivors include: his mother, Mrs. Nellie North of RR 1, Attica; two sons, Bart Dean and Colin Wayne, both at home. A daughter, Amber Kay, his father and a brother, Richard, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held October 10 at Maus Funeral Home in Attica, with the Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating. Interment was at Salem Cemetery." – Review-Republican, Williamsport, Indiana, October 15, 1981
