Thomas Talley of Highlands Dies March 20
Thomas Nathaniel Talley, a 26-year-old Macon County native , died March 20 in Sylva hospital after an illness of about six weeks it has been learned here.
Graveside rites were conducted the following day at 11 a.m. at the Bryson Cemetery on Clear Creek, by the Rev Oscar Nix and O R Talley.
Born April 9, 1925, Mr Talley was the son of Mr and Mrs Nathaniel Talley of Highlands. He was a member of the Highlands Methodist Church and served as superintendent of the Clear Creek Methodist Church Sunday School before moving to Atlanta, GA about six years ago. In 1945 he was married to Miss Winefred Chastain, who survives.
Other survivors include his parents; a daughter, Janet; two sisters, Mrs Lyman Picklesimer, of Highlands, Walhalla Route; and Mrs Richard Burton, of Atlanta, GA; and two brothers, Claude and Radford Talley of Highlands.
