Herbert R. Bell, 76, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Melching, 261 West Third Street, early Tuesday afternoon after an extended illness.
Born in Hardin, Shelby county, Mr. Bell came to Mansfield in 1907. He lived here ever since, except for a few years spent in Pittsburgh.
For a number of years he was connected with the Ohio Brass Company.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by a son, W.M. Bell of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Quinn, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. H.N. Lilley of Piqua, and three grandchildren. His wife died seven years ago.
Services were to be held at the Finefrock funeral home at 2 p.m. today in charge of Rev. Marcus Grether. The body will be taken to Sidney tonight for burial Friday.
