Obituary
Charles M. Williams, former member of the Board of County Commissioners and a leading citizen of Poolesville district, died suddenly on Wednesday of last week, aged 71 years. While apparently in good health he was stricken in his home and died almost instantly, apoplexy being given as the cause.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Geo. Brewer, Mrs. Henry Allnutt, Mrs. Edward Allnutt, Miss Emily Williams and Dorsey Williams, of this county; Dr. Roger Williams, of Lynchburg, Va., and Charles M. Williams, Jr., of Atlantic City.
Mrs. Williams, who was, before her marriage, a Miss Waters, died a year or two ago.
Mr. Williams was a life-long resident of Poolesville district, was widely known and highly respected.
The funeral took place Friday afternoon from the family residence, many persons from various parts of the county and elsewhere attending. Rev. Dr. Mast, pastor of the Poolesville Methodist Church, conducted the services and burial was in Monocacy Cemetery at Beallsville.
