Hester Ann Clark was born in Georgia to parents, Francis Marion Clark Jr. and Elizabeth (Monroe) Clark.

Hester married Thomas Lindsey.

After Thomas was killed by Indians in 1816, Hester was given some land along the Withlacoochee River. It was part of some land the Indians deeded to President Jackson in 1818.

Hester, a widow with most of her children moved to Lowndes County, Georgia about 1827 and located on the Lowndes Irwin County Line in present Berrien County. After all her children married she lived with her youngest daughter, Mrs. McCranie, until her death. On the 1870 Census they were living in Berrien County.

Hester lived to be 100 years old and is said to have been quite a character, well remembered by her grandchildren. Hester Ann (Clark) Lindsey was buried in Cook County. The Clark family facts were taken from old family Bibles, historical papers of Colonial History and from different members of the family.
